Lola
Dona Lola retaining wall included 16 caissons from 20ft to 50ft
deep. This130 foot long retaining wall and hill side grading
was built to restore a landslide. To construct these caissons,
30ft high towers were erected to support and assemble 3 ton
steel cages and lower them to the ground. The steepness of the
slope did not allow cranes to be used thus forcing all construction
to be done by hand.
